The Eight Holistic RIFF Chakra Patterns

The eight levels of RIFF Patterns correspond with the major energy centers, or chakras of the body. The chakras are spiraling energy vortexes located along the midline of the body. They are energetic databanks which store resources, information, emotions, and power. When there is any level of disempowerment, insecurity, physical ailment, or emotional imbalance, energy is leaking from one or more of these chakras. When corrected, chakra energies provide great empowerment, emotional well-being, and mental stability. Profound joy and positivity naturally arise from proper energy flow through the chakras. When they are opened and connected, balanced thoughts and emotions arise naturally.

Along with the chakras, ray energies are invoked, activated, integrated and balanced. Ray energies, similar to the rays of the sun, are colored beams of light which influence the body, emotions, and mind. The rays are the most fundamental energies making up our beings, preceding and influencing even astrological energies. There are seven primary rays, and five higher cleansing rays for twelve total. The rays color our physical, emotional, and mental bodies. 1st - Root Chakra RIFF Pattern


This is our most basic pattern, yet it is amazingly comprehensive in its scope. This pattern is intended for providing a basic holistic foundation for balance and well-being. The root chakra (Mulhadhara in Sanskrit) is associated with grounding, protection, survival, and basic system functions. An important component of this pattern is its direct focus on amplifying and returning to balance the body signal for when the body is full and when it would be best to stop eating. Naturally, a baby knows to spit excess food out when it is full. Return to the Origin serves to restore the bodies natural signal for proper appetite management.

The elemental association of the root chakra is the earth element in both the western and Chinese system. The western earth element governs food and grounding. The Chinese earth element is associated with the stomach and spleen, digestion, and integrity. The root chakra corresponds to the Medulla Oblongata, or Reptilian Brain. This chakra controls breathing, digestion, and survival.
